Today, Monday, the Public Ministry ordered the arrest of a doctor at the Bani Mazar Hospital under the pretext of accusing him of indecent assault on a patient while undergoing a medical examination.
The Public Ministry said in a statement Monday that it had received a police report about a dispute between a doctor – an internal medicine specialist – at the Bani Mazar Hospital in Minya governorate and the relatives of a woman who accused him. of having committed an indecent act during the signing of the medical examination in his clinic. Exam room as a result of a fight.
The Public Ministry asked the victim, who testified that the doctor touched a citizen of his body during the recognition of his signature, then tried to attack her, but she pushed him and informed his family of the fact, and a fight broke out between them and the doctor. Her signature examining the victim, due to her condition, and therefore exceeding the limits of permissible medical work.
The police investigations had concluded that the defendant had committed the act according to the footage contained in the testimony of the victim and her husband, and his reputation for committing similar acts of which the victims were not ashamed and to whom the investigations did not reach.
When questioning the accused doctor, he denied the accusation, justifying what he had done to her. To complete her signature in the medical examination, stating that the victim’s family attacked her and destroyed the furniture in the clinic, and that she denied it during her interrogation in the investigations.
The Public Ministry ordered the preventive detention of the accused doctor pending investigations and appealed to the court the decision to release him with financial guarantee, for which the court annulled the decision, continued his detention, and the investigations were completed.
