The Italian soccer club Juventus announced the termination of its Argentine forward, Gonzalo Higuaín, a joint contract between the club and the player.
Juventus said on its official website Thursday: “Many battles we face together, many goals we have achieved together. We are now separated and each side is on its own path.”
The Italian club added: “Higuain, after winning the Italian league for the third time in a row, will leave the club and officially remove his black and white jersey.”
And many press reports suggested that the Argentine forward would soon move to the American team Inter Miami, owned by former English international David Beckham.
Higuaín joined Juventus from Napoli in the summer of 2016, where he won the Italian league title with the team three times, and also reached the Italian club’s final in the 2017 UEFA Champions League.
Higuaín, who previously played for Argentina’s River Plate, Real Madrid and Italy’s Milan, has appeared in 148 games for Juventus, scoring 66 goals.
