In a big surprise, Juventus will not include Barcelona forward Luis Suárez, who has successfully passed the Italian language test.
According to trusted “Sky Sport” Italy journalist Fabrizio Romano, Juventus is in the final stages of negotiations with Roma striker Eden Djico to join him in the coming days.
He explained that Luis Suárez will obtain the Italian passport, but the negotiations with Juventus have stopped.
He indicated that Barcelona will begin to discuss the rest of the offers it presents to its forward in preparation for his departure, since it is not within the plans of coach Ronald Koeman.
That was before he mentioned later that Atlético de Madrid are thinking of signing for Suárez, but if Barcelona lets him go, he will go free and that manager Diego Simeone loves the idea of signing for the Uruguayan forward.
Today, Thursday, Suárez took an Italian language proficiency exam at the University of Perugina and passed it successfully.
The question remains, why did Suarez undergo this test?
The Uruguayan striker was on his way to Juventus, which had completed the number of foreign players on its list, so Suárez had to be treated as the Italian player.
Suárez’s wife has Italian citizenship, which gives him the opportunity to obtain it on condition of mastering the language.
Italian regulations stipulate that each team has the right to include 12 foreign players, that is, from outside the European Union.
On the other hand, Djico has spent five years playing in the Italian league with Roma after moving to the Manchester City team, initially as a loan and then as a final transfer.
With Roma, Djikko scored 106 goals and scored 50 goals in the 222 games he played in all competitions.
