Tariq Yahya, Zamalek’s interim coach, stressed that his team is ready to play next season’s matches in the League and the African Champions League.
Tariq Yahya said on Zamalek TV: “I thank Mortada Mansour, president of the club, for his great confidence and for appointing me as interim coach of the team.”
He added: “I see some of the Zamalek fans feeling anxious, but I’m telling you that Zamalek attended.”
“A lot of coaches have left Zamalek and the club continues to win championships,” he added.
He continued: “Some say that Tariq Yahya agrees to train Zamalek for two days and two hours, but when I enter the Zamalek club, I take off my Al-Karamah clothes because I am always in Zamalek’s service.”
He continued: “How do I refuse to coach Zamalek? The team needs me and will play a game after two days.”
He noted: “I want to reassure the fans because the team is technically and physically ready to complete its career in the league and qualify for the African final.”
He added: “Any team is exposed to pressure and we play a game every 3 days, and no player can take all this pressure, however, Zamalek’s players are men.”
“The most important thing is the environment that surrounds the players, and everyone here provides them with every means of comfort, so we should not worry about the team,” he concluded.
