Hussein Al-Shahat and Mohamed Mahmoud, players from the Al-Ahly club, participated in the team’s training tonight, Wednesday, in preparation for the compensation match next Saturday in week 28 of the league competition.

Al-Shahat participated in the division conducted by Fyler during the training session, while Muhammad Mahmoud participated in part of the collective training.

Al-Shahat has been absent from the Al-Ahly club since the resumption of the league championship, after undergoing surgery for an “inguinal hernia”, while Mohamed Mahmoud missed a cut to the cruciate ligament in his knee for the second time.

The trio of goalkeepers, Mohamed El Shennawy, Mustafa Schubert and young Hamza Alaa Marana also fought hard.

The duo, Ali Lotfi and Yasser Ibrahim, continued to be absent due to their infection with the Corona virus.

Swiss manager Rene Weiler, Al-Ahly manager, held a session with the players, asking them to forget about the Al-Ittihad game and focus on the compensation match to resolve the league championship.

The group of players who participated in the Al-Ittihad match underwent physical and recovery training, before attending a private hospital training in the gym away from ball training.

The coaching staff, led by René Fyler, gave the players a negative rest for 24 hours after Al-Ittihad’s last match in Alexandria in the Premier League.

Karim Nedved, a midfielder, had a physiotherapy session in the “gym” and a hydrotherapy session in the pool.

After a recent knee cartilage surgery, Nedved continues with his rehabilitation and treatment program.

Al-Ahly drew Al-Ittihad, scoreless, in Week 27, to postpone the league championship.
