Saudi press reports revealed that the Saudi Al Hilal administration has not received an official offer from Zamalek officials on the inclusion of Syrian international Omar Khirbin.
According to the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiah, on Wednesday, Al-Hilal’s leadership has not received any official offer from the Zamalek club so far.
Saudi press reports linked Al Hilal’s top scorer with moving to Zamalek and participating in the Egyptian League again after playing for the Pyramids last season.
The Saudi daily reported, according to a source from the Al Hilal Club side, that the capital’s club management will not oppose Khirbin’s departure if a suitable offer arrives for the club and the player.
The top scorer of the Syrian national team, the 26-year-old, is under contract with Al-Hilal until the summer of 2021, when he was transferred to the Saudi capital Riyadh team from Al-Dhafra in the United Arab Emirates in 2017 for a five million dollar fee.
Kharbin participated with the leader of the Saudi clubs in 67 different matches, whether local or continental, to score 35 goals with 12 decisive goals.
The numbers of the most outstanding individual player were in the 2016-2017 season when he achieved the top scorer in the AFC Champions League with ten goals.
Khirbin had moved to Pyramids on loan from Al Hilal in the winter transfer market before the last one, to participate in 12 games, scoring six goals in addition to scoring two goals.
At the international level, Khirbin has international participation in 45 games with the Syrian national team, through which he managed to score 18 goals.
