Al-Ahly officials are continuing their serious efforts to include Algerian star Youssef Al-Belaili, according to the guarantees of the player’s father and his agent.
Hafeez Blayli said on the Saqr Stadium radio program: “Youssef is bound by a contract with Al-Ahly (Saudi Arabia), and his contract with the club is respected.”
He added: “The Saudi club is negotiating with Amir Tawfiq, the hiring director of Al-Ahly from Egypt, and no financial agreement has yet been reached regarding the player’s salary.”
Hafeez said: “The financial dispute is not big, Al-Ahly are a great team and it is a great honor for Youssef to play among their ranks, but the matter depends on the approval of his club and will be resolved during the next period.”
He continued: “We did not mention the contract period. Al-Ahly offered to borrow from Yusef Al-Balayli, but the Saudi club refused, and we are waiting for Youssef’s position to be determined, whether he is returning to his club next. season or by selling his contract to Al-Ahly. “
The Algerian player’s agent confirmed: “Negotiations continue and progress is being made between the two clubs, and the transfer from Youssef Al-Belayli to Al-Ahly is 50%.”
“Esperance from Tunisia also entered into negotiations with us to join Al-Balaili, and is ready to join the player. I also received calls from other Egyptian clubs, but the negotiations with Al-Ahly are the most serious.”
Hafeez Al-Bailaili concluded his remarks: “The material matters and the best offer is the one that will decide the direction of the player in the new season, but so far Saudi Al-Ahly has not completely resolved the situation.”
The 28-year-old joined Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahly from Esperance in the summer of 2019, and his contract runs through the summer of 2022.
Blailey played 18 games for Al-Ahly in all competitions, during which he scored 5 goals and scored another 3.
Blailey won the Best Player award in the Confederation of the African Football Confederation (CAF) club competitions for 2019, after winning the CAF Champions League with Esperance.
