Moroccan reports have confirmed that Moroccan defender Badr Bannon, a player for Moroccan club Raja Casablanca, has signed contracts to join the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club starting in the new season.
The Moroccan newspaper “Hsport” reported that Al-Ahly and Al-Raja had reached an agreement to transfer Badr Banoune from Casablanca to Cairo in exchange for a large sum of money.
According to the Moroccan newspaper, the transfer of Marwan Al-Hodoudi from the ranks of the new defense club to Al-Raja facilitated the transfer of Badr Banoune to Al-Ahly.
Moroccan journalist Jalal Bounouar wrote on his Twitter account: “The club of the Egyptian giant Al-Ahly had previously held talks to sign a contract with the Moroccan defender Badr Bennoun, and the two sides agreed on the details of the deal.”
In the same context, the Moroccan championship site, one of the most famous sporting sites in Morocco, confirmed Al-Ahly’s decision to negotiate with defender Badr Bannon from Raja.
The Egyptian League became a market for Moroccan players following the transfer of Ashraf Bin Sharqi, Hamid Haddad, Khaled Boutayeb and Mohamed Onagem al Zamalek, as well as Walid Azaro al Al-Ahly.
Notably, Al-Ahly are looking to sign a strong, experienced defender, especially as the team will miss Mahmoud Metwally’s efforts for about 8 months as his cruciate ligament cut his knee.
In recent days, the name Al-Ahly has been linked to a series of deals with abroad, such as the Algerian Youssef Al-Bailayli, the Saudi player Al-Ahly and the Moroccan Ayoub Al-Kaabi.
It should be noted that Al-Ahly includes 6 foreign players, who are: the Tunisian Ali Maaloul, the Angolan Giraldo, the Senegalese Aliu Badji, the Nigerian Junior Ajay, Mali Aliu Diang and the Moroccan Walid Azaro.
