Former Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani has offered himself to Barcelona to join the Catalan club in the current summer transfer period.
A report in the Spanish press said that former Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani offered his services to Barcelona to join their ranks this summer.
The great forward Edinson Cavani left Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season, after the end of his contract with the French club, to become a free player this summer, with the right to move to any club.
The newspaper Sport added that Edinson Cavani had offered to wear the Barcelona shirt twice in recent weeks, at a time when the Catalans were looking for a new forward to take Suárez’s place.
The newspaper pointed out that Barcelona’s technical secretariat studied the proposal, but discarded that hypothesis, noting that Cavani is not among the Catalan club’s priorities.
The newspaper noted that former Paris Saint-Germain striker Cavani was close to signing for Atlético de Madrid, but the negotiations were not completed and the same happened with Benfica of Portugal.
