Next Tuesday, several areas in Cairo and Giza will witness several interruptions in drinking water, due to maintenance work or the diversion of a water line within ongoing national projects.
The Obour City Council announced the cut off of drinking water, next Tuesday, from 10 pm to 10 am on Wednesday, in some areas, due to the presence of maintenance work at the water outlet.
The Obour City Authority identified the areas where the water was cut off, which are:
1- Obour City in its entirety.
2- The areas fed by the water supply elevator No. 2 in the city of New Cairo, and the cities of El Shorouk, Badr and New Obour.
3- Areas that are fed from outside the scope of the New Urban Communities Authority system, such as (Ciudad de la Paz – Al Nahda).
The City’s Transit Authority required citizens and service establishments such as bakeries, hospitals, and others to meet their water needs during that period.
The agency indicated that potable water vehicles will be provided for the necessary needs.
On the other hand, the Giza Potable Water and Sewerage Company announced that the water in the areas of (Kafr Ghatati – Kom Bakkar – Kafr Nassar – Ezbet Jibril – Al Kom Al Akhdar – Faisal and Al-Haram and its branches from Talbiya to Mansouriya).
The company added that the service was cut off, from 10 p.m. on Tuesday, until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, due to the diversion of the 800 mm diameter water line on the Mansuriyah axis, as part of the projects. nationals underway.
The company congratulated bakery and hospital owners for managing their water needs during the mentioned period.
