Sayed Abdel Hafeez, Al-Ahly football coach, declined to speak about his club’s position in hiring Algerian wing Youssef Blayli, the player of the Saudi team Al-Ahly Jeddah.
Abdel Hafeez responded to his club’s stance on hiring the 28-year-old, saying: “We have goals ahead of us, which are to win the League Championship as well as win the CAF Champions League.”
Al-Ahly’s football director added, speaking on MBC Egypt in the early hours of Saturday morning: “We certainly have to think ahead, but our current thinking is to establish the league as well as continue victories to overcome the number of victories achieved two seasons ago. “
And he continued: “In the season prior to the last one we added 28 victories, and this season we have the opportunity to surpass the record that was achieved.”
The father and player Youssef Blayli revealed in statements on the “Al-Nahar” screen that his son had received three offers from the Al-Ahly, Zamalek and Pyramids clubs, as well as a presentation by the Tunisian team of Esperance.
Youssef Blayli’s position with his current team, Al-Ahly Jeddah, hit a major dead end, prompting the Saudi club to open the door to the Algerian international’s departure this summer.
Youssef Blayli participated this season with the Al-Ahly Jeddah team in 18 games, in which he was able to contribute 8 goals by scoring three goals and scoring five crucial goals.
It is worth noting that Blailey previously won the CAF Champions League twice with his former club, Esperance, and won the African Cup of Nations in the last edition at Senegal’s expense.
