A nightwear photography session in the UAE desert by an Israeli model and a Russian model has sparked a lot of controversy, amid the rapidly growing relations between Israel and the UAE.
A video clip showed two models in pajamas in a desert, among several photographers, walking in a show step towards a bed in the middle of the desert while carrying the flags of Israel and the United Arab Emirates side by side.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry’s (Israel in Arabic) account held what it said was the first Israeli fashion show in the UAE after the decision to normalize relations between the two countries.

The site said that “Israeli model” May Tagger “began filming the first Israeli ad campaign in the UAE, and in the picture, May and an Emirati-based model appeared waving the Israeli and Emirati flags.
“In the video, the Israeli flag in the Dubai desert … during the first Israeli fashion show in the United Arab Emirates after the decision to normalize relations between the two countries … an Israeli model:” Me I am honored to represent my country and proud to be here, and I feel very safe when I say that I am from Israel. “
Only sleepwear
Israeli model May Tagger became the first model from her country to take part in a photo shoot in the United Arab Emirates, after the two countries agreed to normalize relations with each other last month.
May appeared in modest pajamas during a photoshoot in the desert with UAE model Anastasia.
The photoshoot, which featured the two models flying the flags of Israel and the United Arab Emirates, took place on the sands of Dubai, one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates and the regional center for business and tourism.
Vicks is an Israeli brand of women’s underwear and nightwear (pajamas). With regard to customs and traditions in the UAE, the company has been content to offer “only nightwear”.
Standardization … and fashion shows
The video provoked great reactions among tweeters, with one blogger saying: “Peace is there and we are not tempted by such promotion.”
Saudi researcher Fahad Al-Ghafili wrote: “Is there a clause in the standardization agreement that stipulates holding photo sessions with the media … These are images of an Israeli” model “in the Emirates?
As for the journalist Wijdan Abu Abdullah, he wrote sarcastically, “an impressive achievement … we remember that normalization is a betrayal that will not be adorned with a model.”
“They have women’s pajamas and a bed in the desert to convince their people of the genius of normalization, dishonorable diplomacy, normalization is treason,” he said.
Is there a clause in an agreement? # Normalization It makes it easy to carry out photo sessions with flags 🤔🤔

Standardization with the Emirates
On August 13, US President Donald Trump announced that the United Arab Emirates and Israel had reached an agreement to normalize relations between them.
The Palestinians rejected the UAE’s deal with Israel and condemned it, and Palestinian factions and leaders viewed normalization as a betrayal of the cause and a stab in the back of the Palestinian people.
The Palestinians demand that any normalization process with Israel be based on the principle of land for peace, as stipulated in the Arab initiative, and not on the principle of peace for peace that Israel currently upholds.
On August 13, Israel and the United Arab Emirates agreed to normalize relations, making the United Arab Emirates the first Gulf state and the third Arab country to do so when it finally signed the agreement.
An impressive achievement. We remember that #Naturalization_betrayal Https://t.co/b6XoXBD87y will not be decorated by a mannequin
