A government alert to apartment owners if the owner refuses to reconcile

Dr Khaled Qassem, Deputy Minister for Local Development and official spokesperson for the ministry, said citizens must reconcile over violations of their buildings before the deadline set by the government, which ends on September 30.

Qassem added, to Masrawy, on Wednesday: In case the property owner refuses to reconcile for his violations, the apartment owners must file the reconciliation themselves.

The local development spokesperson added: Homeowners must file a report with their police department against the property owner who refuses to reconcile and adjust their conditions in accordance with the law.

The ministry spokesperson explained that the objective of the report is to pursue the competent authorities of the property owner and hold him criminally responsible for the violation he committed.

The deadline to pay the severity of the conciliation fees for construction violations, estimated at 25% of the value of the violation, is September 15 and the deadline for submitting conciliation requests is September 30.
