A source from the Al-Ahly Club revealed that the team’s player, Hussein Al-Shahat, is ready to take part in group training, after completing the qualification program he recently underwent.
The source, who declined to be named, added in statements to “Yallakora” on Wednesday that Al-Shahat has finished the solo qualification program, noting that the player is ready to participate in group training.
Al-Shahat had undergone a “hernia” operation, having been absent from the team since the resumption of the Egyptian We League matches.
Since the return from the Egyptian We League competition, Al-Ahly have played 8 matches, winning six matches against a loss to rival Zamalek in exchange for a single draw against El Entag El Harby.
Al-Ahly is preparing for several challenges in the coming period, perhaps the most prominent of which is the conclusion of the league competition, where the red team needs to score 8 points, and against the team participating in the competition of the African Champions League.
Al-Ahly lead the league standings with 68 points, after winning the last round against Haras al-Hodoud with two unanswered goals in the week 25 accounts, for which the leader surpassed second classified Zamalek , by 17 points.
Al-Ahly will face Moroccan Wydad Casablanca in the semifinal round, while the second match will be between Zamalek and Raja Casablanca.
