On Tuesday, the Competitions Committee of the African Confederation of Football Confederation (CAF) and representatives of the clubs participating in the semifinals of the CAF Champions League and the African Confederation Cup held a meeting on a proposal to postpone matches.

A responsible source told “Yallakora” that “Ahmed Ahmed, president of the African Football Confederation, contacted the officials of the Five-Year Committee and verbally informed them to postpone the semi-final matches of the CAF Champions League. “.

He continued: “The proposed dates for the first leg matches are October 17 and 18, and the return matches are October 23 and 24. The final will be played on November 6.”

Al-Ahly and his Moroccan counterpart Wydad and Zamalek will play against Raja in the semi-finals of the African Champions League, where they will play the first leg in Morocco and the second leg in Egypt.

It is decided that the Competitions Committee with “CAF” will present recommendations to the Executive Office, which will meet next Thursday to resolve the matter related to the CAF Champions League and Confederation matches.

Amir Mortada Mansour, Zamalek Club’s general football supervisor, had previously stated that his club had rejected the proposal to postpone the semi-finals of the African Champions League.

And through the channel of the Al-Ahly club, those responsible for Red Castle confirmed that they demanded respect for the African deadlines and that they did not care about the amendment given the health conditions of the Moroccan brothers.
