The Minister of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Tariq Shawqi, held a press conference today Tuesday, September 8, 2020 to announce the shape of the new academic year for public education schools in all academic stages from kindergarten through secondary school. The Minister of Education announced at the press conference that the new school year will be a normal study in which the attendance and absence of students will be taken and that the evaluation questions in the third year of general secondary will depend on the understanding and not from memorization and indoctrination, and the student will know their results at the end of the exam.
Student assistance system for schools of all educational levels in the new academic year 2021: –
The Minister of Education indicated that the system of attendance of students to schools will be according to the educational stage in which the student is, since the primary stage is divided from kindergarten to third grade of primary school, and from the fourth grade to the sixth grade. Attendance at the primary stage will be as follows:
Regarding the preparatory stage, students will attend schools only two days in groups, as follows:
Finally, for the secondary stage, students will attend only two days and absences will be taken.
The education minister added that the school day in the new academic year will start with the morning queue and more powers will be given to school principals.
The Minister of Education assured that it will be the third year of general secondary school in which the students will take their exams on the tablet, and the questions will be to measure the student’s understanding, and that the student will know his result as soon as he finishes the exam.
