On Monday, the Saudi prosecutor’s office announced the issuance of final sentences against those accused of the murder of Jamal bin Ahmed bin Hamzah Khashoggi.

He emphasized that the Riyadh Criminal Court handed down judgments against 8 convicted persons and acquired the final status, in accordance with article (210) of the Criminal Procedure Law.

He explained that these provisions, according to their wording after the extinction of the right of legal transfer to the relatives of the murdered, provide prison sentences for a total of 124 years, each convicted extending the sentence according to his criminal act.

The sentences imposed a prison sentence of 20 years for five of those convicted against each of them, and three of those convicted with sentences of ten years in prison for each of them, and seven years for two of them, and the spokesperson He added that these sentences have become final and enforceable, according to article 212 of the Law.

The spokesperson for the public and private prosecutor’s office indicated that once these final judgments are handed down, the criminal case, both public and private, will expire in accordance with articles 22 and 23 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
