Ferjani Sassi, Zamalek player
The media outlet Ahmed Schubert, former vice president of the Football Association, criticized the Tunisian Ferjani Sassi, midfielder of the Zamalek club, after receiving a yellow card in the face of his team against Tala’a Al-Jaish last night .
“Schubert” revealed, during his radio program on “Radio On Sport FM”, that “Sassi” injured his back, and the French coach, Patrice Carteron, from Zamalek, decided to replace him, before the end of the first part, so the Tunisian player stopped to get an intentional warning. He will miss his team’s next match against Smouha.
The former Al-Ahly and Egypt goalkeeper demanded that a law be drafted to penalize the player who deliberately obtained a yellow card, and that penalties be tougher.
Sassi will miss the match between Zamalek and Smouha
Ahmed Schubert emphasized that getting a warning intentionally requires a separate sanction, and not being satisfied with suspending a match as required by current law, and asked the Competition and Discipline Committee to put an end to this matter.
Ferjani Sassi left the match between Zamalek and Al-Jaish in the 39th minute of the match, replaced by Islam Jaber, and the Whites decided the match with a free goal.
Youssef Obama scored the only goal of the game, in the 57th minute of the game, for Zamalek to score all three points and raise his score to 51 points in second place, six points ahead of Pyramids, who lost two goals to El Gouna.
Zamalek will be deducted three points at the end of the current season, due to its withdrawal from the Al-Ahly match in the first round of the current season.
