Dr. Youssef Wali, a former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, passed away on Saturday morning at the age of 89, after 22 years as minister and 18 as general secretary of the dissolved National Party.
The funeral is scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday in Al-Nazla village, Al-Shawashna Center, in his hometown of Fayoum governorate.
Notably, “Wali” advised the family not to express condolences on his death, provided he was buried in his family’s cemetery in Youssef Al-Siddiq city in Fayoum governorate, Dr. Maher said. He graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture and was appointed deputy of the People’s Assembly for the department of the Youssef Al-Siddiq center in Fayoum governorate.
