Mortada Mansour, president of the Zamalek Club, decided to hold an emergency meeting of the board to discuss the possibility of not completing the league championship.
The Zamalek club’s official website revealed that Mortada Mansour, the club’s president, had invited a board of directors to meet in the next few hours to discuss the possibility of not completing the Egyptian Premier League competition due to the arbitration sham that the league is witnessing in the current season.
According to the official website, Mortada Mansour expressed her anger at the arbitration farces that occurred in the team’s match against Pyramids and the lack of a clear penalty sentence in favor of Mohamed Onajem, the Whites’ player.
He added: “Errors also appeared in Al-Ahly’s match against Wadi Degla, which saw the cancellation of a goal scored by Wadi Degla in the second half of the match.”
Jihad Greisha, the international referee, had disallowed a goal for the Tigris Valley against Al-Ahly after reverting to video technology at the time Al-Ahly advanced with a goal.
Al-Ahly defeated Wadi Degla, with two goals to zero, on matchday 24 of the Egyptian League.
Zamalek currently ranks second in the league standings with 48 points.
