Sisi transfers ownership of the land from the NDP and construction of the Tahrir complex to the Sovereign Fund of Egypt (details)

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued Republican Decree No. 459 of 2020 that removes the public benefit character of a number of state properties.

The decision, published in the issue of the Official Gazette on Thursday, stipulated in its second article that the ownership of a series of real estate would be transferred in favor of the sovereign wealth fund of Egypt, and will be recorded in its books.

The decision indicated that these properties are:

The land and building of the Tahrir complex, with an area of ​​3,055 acres, equivalent to 12,832 square meters.

Land and buildings for the administrative headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior (the old building) with an area of ​​4.60 hectares, equivalent to 19,349.88 square meters.

The National Holiday land expires next to the Egyptian Museum, with an area of ​​3.95 acres, equivalent to 16,612.86 square meters.

Land and buildings of the exploratory educational village in the city of Seis de Octubre with an area of ​​25,553,98265 square meters.

The grounds and buildings of the cosmic village in the 6th of October City, with an area of ​​8115.679842 square meters.

Land and buildings attached to the Nasser Institute on the Corniche of Shubra Egypt, with an area of ​​13,727 square meters.

Land of Andalus Park (Tanta Zoo) in the Al-Gharbia governorate, with an area of ​​96.5 square meters.

The third article establishes that this resolution will be deposited in the corresponding notary’s office without fees, and this deposit will have the legal effects of the month.

Article 4 also stipulates that this decision will be published in the Official Gazette and will enter into force as of the day following the date of its publication.

This decision came after reviewing the constitution, Law No. 114 of 1946 on the regulation of real estate registration, the civil law promulgated by Law No. 131 of 1948, and the Public Authorities Law promulgated by Law No. 61 of 1963; And the Law of the Local Administration System promulgated by Law No. 43 of 1979, Law No. 7 of 1991 on some provisions related to private state property, the Environmental Law promulgated by Law No. 4 of 1994, Law No. 177 of 2018 establishing the Egypt Fund and the President’s Decision. No. 62 of 2018 on the land management map of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Decree No. 555 of the Prime Minister for the year 2019 on the issuance of the statute of the Egypt Fund; And on what was presented by the Prime Minister and Minister of Planning and Economic Development.
