Notes from a former aide to first lady Melania Trump have revealed nasty details about life in the White House as Trump seeks re-election as president.
Stephanie Winston Woolcove claimed in her book “Melania and Me” that she witnessed “deception” and “misinformation” during her friendship with Melania Trump. The White House denounced the book, calling it “a strange misrepresentation of the truth.”
On the eve of the book’s launch, Melania’s former aide announced that she was cooperating with authorities in investigations into funding and spending for Trump’s inauguration.
Former Vogue party coordinator Winston Woolcoff describes the strained relationship between the first lady and her stepdaughter Ivanka Trump, whom she describes as “the princess.”
Wolcove wrote that Melania Trump is a fan of “emojis” and once texted her describing Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, two of the White House’s top advisers, as “snakes.”
- Melania Trump is a traditional and unusual first lady
Winston Woolcoff, the lead organizer for Trump’s inauguration, told ABC News on Monday that he was cooperating with investigators who are examining allegations of financial wrongdoing in the event’s spending process.
Than He says Book too?
Winston Woolcoff says his 15-year friendship with Melania Trump ended two years ago after the first lady “betrayed” her by refusing to publicly defend her and another White House aide against allegations of financial mismanagement while planning the opening.
Wolkoff described that she felt like someone was “stabbed in the back” by someone who has changed dramatically since they met.
“I saw the transformation of Melania from gold plating to 24 karat gold,” wrote Winston Woolcove.
A spokeswoman for Melania Trump responded: “The book is not only full of lies, it is based on an urgent need for revenge. Unfortunately, this is a woman who does not feel safe and her need to appear makes her defy logic.” .
The author reveals excerpts about the private life of the Trump family when he runs for office and wins. In one case, Winston Woolcove describes how the first lady reacted after seeing the video posted by “Access Hollywood” in which her husband brags that he can “hug women” because of his fame.
“He was brilliant, he was smiling,” Winston Woolcove wrote. “It was as if nothing had happened.”
“She knows who he married … She knew what he was going to do, and the same for him,” he added, adding that he did not vote in the presidential election before 2016.
Winston Woolcoff said one of the phrases Melania Trump repeats a lot is that “pleasing others is not my priority.”
The book, dedicated to Melania Trump, states that she refused to move into the White House for five months until the bathroom and toilet used by the Obama family were renovated, and that her husband Trump ignored the color he chose for Paint the walls.
