Italian reports claimed that Juventus had completed their deal with Barcelona’s Luis Suárez of Uruguay, to move into the ranks of the Bianconeri during the current summer transfer period.
Suárez was linked to the departure of Barcelona, amid concerns from Ajax (his former club) and Juventus of Italy.
According to the newspaper “La Gazzetta dello Sport”, Juventus completed an agreement with Suárez on the personal conditions of the Uruguayan player.
He added that Juventus vice president Pavel Nedved is in contact with the 32-year-old, and the player is expected to earn 10 million euros a year (net of tax).
Suárez’s contract with Barcelona expires in June 2021 (with the possibility of an extension for another season), but the Catalan club’s management seeks to terminate the contract by mutual agreement between the two parties to support the team with new blood.
Suárez had previously played for Qaysim Ajax during the period August 2007 to January 2011, before moving to Liverpool and from there to Barcelona at the start of the 14/15 season.
Barcelona recently announced the return of Ivan Rakitic to Seville, becoming the first to leave the Camp Nou during the current Mercato. (See more details)
It should be noted that Barcelona has mentioned several names that will leave the Catalan team during the current Mercato, among them Luis Suárez and Arturo Vidal.
