Abdel-Zahir El-Sakka, Al-Masry’s sporting director, met with the club’s management and the meeting resulted in a tendency to seek a new coach for the team to succeed Tariq El-Ashry.
As FilGoal.com knows, the conditions set by Al-Masry in the coach are that he must be familiar with the situation in the league during the current season and have sufficient knowledge of all the teams.
This means that Al-Masry is looking for a coach who has previously led another team during the current season, with a preference for those with experience, despite the presence of voices demanding the need to bring in a young coach.
Abdel-Zahir Al-Sakka opened lines to communicate with some coaches to find out their requirements and how to get out of the current crisis in the league.
Among the names on offer are former Aswan coach Magdy Abdel Ati, as well as Takis Junias, former coach of the Tigris Valley.
This is in addition to some other coaches holding positions in other clubs during the current term.
This week, Al-Masry will try to decide the name of the team’s new coach.
A source close to Tariq Al-Ashry previously told FilGoal.com that the next meeting of the Arab contractors will be their last, accompanied by Al-Masry.
The 55-year-old took over as Al-Masry’s coach last February and led the team in 6 games, none of which he won.
Al-Ashry drew twice and lost 4 times, including two losses to Al-Ahly and Zamalek.
Al-Ashry is Al-Masry’s second coach this season, after Ihab Galal.
Al-Masry is the second team of the decade this season, after the border guards.
Al-Masry, who witnessed the resignation of another sporting director, Abdel-Zahir El-Sakka, before his refusal on Sunday, is ranked 16th in the Egyptian league standings with 22 points.
