The Minister of Education approves the result of the 2020 technical diplomas (first diplomas)

Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, approved the results of technical diplomas for the academic year 2019/2020 – first round on Sunday.

Dr. Muhammed Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Technical Education, said diploma exams were held this year amid strict precautionary measures due to the emerging corona virus, and 755,276 students sat for technical diploma exams of all kinds, from of which 752,237 were distributed among 2,986 exam conduct committees.

The outcome indicators were the following:

First: the number of students applying for the exam and success rates in technical education schools, the five-year system:

The number of business education students is 4,379, with a 93.76% success rate, an increase of 7.31% over last year.

The number of hotel education students is 3,735, with a success rate of 66.47%, 18.56% less than last year.

The number of agricultural education students is 224, with a success rate of 64.13%, 31.27% less than last year.

The number of industrial education students is 7,953, with a success rate of 84.29%, 2.56% less than last year.

The five-year total is 16,291, with a success rate of 82.48%, 3.99% less than last year.

Second: the number of students applying for the exam and the success rates in technical education schools, the three-year system:

The number of business education students is 262334, with a success rate of 58.88%, 4.28% less than last year.

The number of hotel education students 15,680, with a success rate of 79.95%, an increase of 3.56% over last year.

The number of agricultural education students is 70,710, with a success rate of 48.26%, 5.56% more than the previous year.

Number of industrial education students 303,957, with a success rate of 65.37%, 0.81% less than last year.

The grand total for the three years is 652,681, with a success rate of 61.26%, 1.29% less than last year.

Third: Dual education and training:
The total number of dual education and training students requesting the commercial, hotel, agricultural and industrial specialties exams is 15,507 students, with a success rate of 79.72%, 3.77% less than the last year.

Fourth: Professional Preparation:
The total number of students (vocational preparation) applying for hotel, agricultural and industrial specialty exams reached 70,797 students, with a 39.65% success rate, 2.94% less than last year.

The Vice Minister of Technical Education added that fraud attempts have been fought, records of transgressions that occurred during examinations have been prepared, and the legal affairs of the Ministry have provided us with a detailed report of all legal violations and sanctions that have been taken. in his regard, since 841 cases of cheating were monitored in various ways and other violations by some students. This represents 0.1% of the number of students who took exams this year, and the results of the investigations of legal matters were the following: cancel all exams for a period of two years with referral to the Public Ministry for 19 students, cancel all one-year exams with referral to the Public Ministry for 47 students, cancel The exam is one subject and allows 151 students to enter the second round of exams.
