And after the dissemination of the document’s image, it generated a wave of questions about the reason for the imposition of customs estimated at 3 million pounds and more, and according to a special source from the Customs Authority, the reasons were explained in a statement issued by Al-Masry Al-Youm, and it came as follows:
1- Customs declaration No. 2544 was registered on 8/19/2020 in the name of Ms Yasmine Ashraf Medhat Ibrahim Sabry and included according to the inspection, a Rolls Rice Dawn model 2020, the capacity of the car is 5600 (12 ) Cylinder origin from England Shipping from the port of Limassol Cyprus
2- The value in the amount of 6113545 pounds was accepted, and the customs clause 8703249090 was placed
3- Customs Category: 135% Import Tax + 8.5% Development Tax + 30% Table Tax + 14% Value Added Tax.
4- The Euro 1 Certificate No. 353199, which explains the origin of the European Union, was presented with the purpose of implementing the Egyptian-European Association Agreement.
5- The agreement was implemented by the employee of the agreement, so the car was completely exempt from its incoming tax, and the amount of the exemption is equivalent to 8314421 pounds.
6- The fees have been paid and their details are as follows:
8.5% development fee of £ 519,651.21 + 30% table tax + 14% value added of £ 3197,200.63 + additional fees of £ 285.20
The total fees paid on the customs declaration are 20.3717137 pounds and the car is therefore exempt from customs duties according to the Egyptian-European Association Agreement.
