The Media Center of the Cabinet of Ministers denied the news broadcast by some media, websites and social media pages about the rising price of the domestic stove.
According to a statement today, Friday, the media center contacted the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, which denied these reports completely, confirming that there is no validity to increase the price of the domestic gas stove, and that the official price announced by the ministry for the domestic “gas stove cylinder” is 65 pounds and there has been no increase, highlighting the launch of inspection campaigns in the market to avoid any manipulation or monopolistic practices, indicating that all the filling factories of Butane cylinders are operating at full capacity to meet the needs of citizens during the current period, where more than a million cylinders are pumped daily.
The ministry said that there is a secure and strategic reserve of gas cylinders sufficient to meet the needs of the local market during the next period. As this important merchandise is insured to the citizens in a way that does not contradict the moment of the prohibition in force at the level of the Republic.
