Larissa Club President Alexis Kogia revealed the real reason behind the departure of Egypt’s Amr Warda from the Greek team.
The Greek club released an official statement on its official website on Tuesday, during which it confirmed Amr Warda’s departure from Larissa’s ranks based on instructions from the club president for disciplinary reasons.
The text of the statement reads as follows: “On official order from Larissa Cogias, president of Larissa Club, the club announces the departure of the two borrowed clubs from PAOK and Olympiacos, Amr Warda and Gianas Masoras, for serious disciplinary reasons.”
For his part, the president of Larissa explained on the club’s official website, Wednesday, the real reason behind the decision to leave Warda from the Greek team.
Kojia said: “The decision to leave Warda was due to his absence from training during the last 9 training sessions (he only attended two days) without obtaining permission from his coach or the team principal or me personally.”
The club president added: “So his departure came only for this reason, and everyone should understand and respect the club. Warda helped us overcome his personal problems, and his level with the team also developed.”
He concluded: “I thank Warda for the wonderful moments she presented to us during her stay with us, and I also thank her for the friendly messages she sent me last night and during which she expressed her gratitude to the club, I will publish those messages to everyone next Friday when I return to the club”.
It is worth noting that Warda responded to the club’s decision through Live Yalla Koura (see full statements).
