Tesla Motors, the electric car maker, has reopened its only facility in California, USA. USA, despite orders from local authorities prohibiting the resumption of manufacturing.

CEO Elon Musk posted a tweet on Monday saying the company had resumed production and would be “in line with the others.”

States of the United States and local governments are trying to determine the best way to resume economic activities after the general closure.

Musk previously pledged to move the company’s headquarters out of California if he was not allowed to resume business.

Although the state relaxed restrictions to allow industrialization to resume, Alameda County where the Fremont facility is located did not relax procedures. The town is about an hour south of San Francisco.

Musk said Saturday that Tesla had filed a lawsuit against the district; He asked the court to cancel the order preventing the automaker from resuming business.

He announced on Twitter on Monday that, instead of waiting for the court’s decision, the facility decided to resume production operations.

The local police department said it was aware of the situation, but would act at the discretion of district health officials.

The Alameda County Public Health Department said Monday that it had entered into “active communication” with Tesla about its plans to resume activity, and that it had followed the same approach it had taken in relation to other actions that violated orders from public closure.

Misk wrote in a tweet on Twitter, saying Tesla had been “attacked,” adding that other American automakers were allowed to resume production.

Other automakers planned to resume production in May, but some of them had to delay these plans in states like Michigan, where non-core business is limited.

Pictures of Tesla’s parking lot on Monday showed it was nearly full. The facility has been closed to vehicle manufacturing, except for limited basic operations since March 26.

Out of california

Last year, Tesla opened a car manufacturing facility in Shanghai, China, and another facility is also being built outside of the German capital, Berlin. Fremont is the headquarters of Tesla, where the main automobile manufacturing facility is located.

Mask said Saturday that he would move the company’s headquarters to another state if necessary, with the aim of resuming production.

Officials from Texas, Utah, Georgia and Nevada, where Tesla has battery collection facilities, contacted them and offered them incentives to urge them to move to their areas.

United States Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin said Monday that California “should prioritize” Tesla’s assistance because it is one of the state’s largest automakers.

State Governor Gavin Newsom said he had spoken to Mask last week, adding that his concerns were part of California’s decision to resume batch manufacturing operations as part of the slow lifting of public closings.
