Dr. Mahmoud Siddiq, Vice President of Al-Azhar University, General Overseer of Hospitals, said that Dr. Naira Moftah, Dean of the Faculty of Girls Medicine in Cairo, was infected with the Corona virus after contact with people affected by Al-Zahra Hospital in Abbasiya.
A friend told Masrawy on Sunday that two tests were done for Dr. Naira Moftah, Dean of the Girls’ School of Medicine, the first of which was positive and the second was negative, indicating that He planned a third analysis for her.
The General Supervisor of Hospitals indicated that 14 cases of corona were monitored at the Zahra University Hospital in Abbasiya, affiliated with the Faculty of Girls Medicine in Cairo, and were isolated at the Nasr City Specialized Hospital in late from last week.
A friend added that the injury came from a hospital kitchen worker, who was transferred to him by his wife, who works as an employee in the administrative building, and that the virus was transferred to him from outside the hospital, noting that after the survey of the 14 contacts with the infection, we discovered 24 positive cases, bringing the number to 38.
The vice president of Al-Azhar University noted that the 38 cases are “8 kitchen workers, one employee and the rest of the medical staff,” and revealed that the cases will be transferred to the university’s specialized hospital in Nasr City, which has been assigned to isolate the injured college.
Mahmoud Seddik noted that he is coordinating with Sayyid Jalal Hospitals and Al-Hussein University to transport patients in Al-Zahra, as it is scheduled to close for two weeks for sterilization and disinfection.
He noted that the Al-Zahra Hospital emergency building closed last Thursday, with the start of case discovery, and there is an intensive care case to be transferred to Al-Sadr Hospital in Abbasiya.
The vice president of Al-Azhar University said that 100 smears will be carried out today, Sunday, for contacts of infected cases at Al-Zahra University Hospital, to discover the appearance of new cases.
