Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has launched a “flexible work organization” targeting Saudi men and women, as well as companies in all private sector activities, according to the Saudi Press Agency “SPA” .
The organization seeks to find job opportunities for job applicants and provide jobs to workers who want to increase their income, through a flexible contractual organization in which wages are based on hourly work, and the organization retains the rights from both parties to document employment contracts electronically through the portal determined by the ministry. The program is willing to support the private sector to meet its urgent, temporary and seasonal needs of national cadres.
The program aims to create a new type of job for job applicants and increase their chances of getting a flexible job, to enable them to participate in the job market and increase their skills and experience in preparation to become permanent employees, and will work to Reduce the proportion of illegal immigrant workers used by the underground economy, while increasing the proportion of Citizen Participation, knowing that the portal will launch 90 days after the decision was launched.
Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed Al-Rajhi confirmed that this organization will contribute to supporting the Kingdom’s economy in terms of establishments and individuals, to overcome the current crisis and advance in achieving the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030 by raising the contribution rates of the national cadres to the labor market and reduce the unemployment rate, applying the Flexible Work regulation, to contribute to other initiatives launched by the Ministry to empower citizens and encourage the private sector to support emirate.
