In the context of what is circulating on social networks about the infection of the employees of the Bank of Cairo with the Corona virus, Tariq Fayed, president and CEO of the bank, issued a statement in accordance with the latest developments related to the spread of the Corona virus and within the framework of precautionary measures taken and approved by the Ministry of Health.

According to a press release issued by the bank, on Saturday night, it was decided to close the bank’s Talaat Harb Street branch the next day to uncover two positive cases of the branch’s employees last Wednesday, and conduct a survey. of all branch employees to guarantee their safety, while all the complete sterilization operations of the branch headquarters are carried out in the course of 3 consecutive days

Tariq Fayed emphasized that the bank is willing to provide its services to clients who doubt the branch by directing them to the bank’s closest branch in the “downtown” area.

Fayed also emphasized the bank’s interest and continued concern for the health and safety of workers.

According to the statement, the bank tended to apply all necessary procedures that take into account the highest standards of protection for workers and customers while ensuring the use of preventive masks and sterilization tools for workers in branches and the main center, as well as provide medical gloves at ATMs in all bank branches throughout the Republic.

In addition to being interested in organizing internal and external meetings through “conference calls”, to achieve distancing, delay internal training in training centers and activate the remote e-Learning training system.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cairo Bank continued that the bank’s procedures were extended to include the launch of extensive awareness campaigns among workers to deal with the current crisis by posting banners at all bank branches and the main center. and periodically sending emails to employees via email to educate them on the means of prevention and the guidelines to follow to avoid infection with the virus and the general rules to combat transmission Infection and care to leave sufficient distances between workers and avoid overcrowding.

The Bank of Cairo also continues to carry out continuous sterilization operations for all the bank’s departments and the network of branches in the different provinces of the Republic, highlighting that precautionary measures are at the forefront of the bank’s priorities in line with guidelines of the state and its concern for the security, protection and stability of the banking sector.
