The administration of Aswan University Hospital issued a statement in response to a statement issued by the hospital’s medical team, in which the team criticized the hospital’s handling of the occurrence of cases among the medical team, describing it as “containing many inaccuracies “and that the established protocol to withdraw the samples from the suspects was not violated and the samples were taken According to not requiring the development of each individual case and medical evaluation, which is carried out with the knowledge of preventive medicine in the Health Directorate ».

The hospital administration added that “the role of the hospital in the event that a positive case arises is an act of limiting contacts and tracking the onset of symptoms in any one of them and reporting to the Department of Preventive Medicine to assess the case and do the necessary examination if necessary according to the approved and applicable protocols and identify the contacts and those who require their self-isolation at home after the investigation It is necessary so that the departments do not empty themselves of medical personnel, so as not to endanger none of the workers. “

The statement stated that “the return of the Health Directorate to the delegates and sent to the hospital in compliance with the request of the Aswan Health Directorate to return some of the doctors on duty to their original workplace so that they are not subject to dismissal in order to preserve their professional future and the absence of titles available for the appointment of recruits is a follow-up procedure at the end of the loan period.There is no intransigence of the university hospital, and the authority attached to the doctor does not You can extend your loan without the approval of your original work authority.

The Governor stated that the health service within Aswan will not be affected, noting that at the same time it has coordinated with Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to review all precautionary measures for sterilization and Isolation while taking the necessary steps to ensure the health of university hospital employees, including doctors, nurses, and administrators. .

He added that the disinfection and sterilization of the hospital buildings and departments were carried out by officers and members of the armed forces, and praised the rapid response by the armed forces to sterilize the Aswan University Hospital.

He noted that, in parallel, the Preventive Medicine of the Health Directorate will carry out an exhaustive survey of all cases of suspected medical personnel to verify their health, since they are men from the White Army who work in a trench with hospitals. isolated and suspicious, emphasizing the need for the utmost care and caution when carrying all medical equipment. The medical team demanded the revocation of the decision to terminate the loan of 16 resident doctors and 7 physician delegates to the hospital and to renew their loan, after suddenly and arbitrarily ending their loan without prior notice, after increasing demand from the doctors to implement the precautionary measures prescribed by the Ministry of Health, because they are in contact with positive cases, where they were ordered to return to work. Aswan Health Directorate, knowing that there are positive cases between them, and most of these loans were renewed last March.

The hospital medical team emphasized the issuance of a two-week isolation decision for all direct contacts of urgent positive cases and the need to establish controls to ensure the permanent provision of all methods of personal protection, the allocation of human housing to medical teams and allocation of places to isolate the wounded from fully equipped medical personnel and pay a bonus to isolation and quarantine doctors.
