The Ministry of Health and Population has established a definition of new coronavirus cases (Covid-19).
According to the latest definition issued by the Ministry of Health on March 25, the suspected case, based on which the Corona virus PCR analyzes are divided, is divided into 3 main models and bases.
The definition clarified that the first rule is anyone who suffers from any of the acute respiratory symptoms such as (cough and shortness of breath) or an increase in temperature above 38 degrees or both, for no other reason, with a series of the following conditions within the previous 14 days Symptoms appear.
He noted that the conditions include:
1- A date of travel or residence in a country or region that demonstrates the widespread spread of the community or limited local transmission of the virus.
2- Mixtures of a confirmed case of coronary heart disease.
3- Mixtures of a person suffering from any of the acute respiratory symptoms such as (cough, shortness of breath) or an increase in temperature above 38 degrees and is epidemiologically related to a place or region (local, international) that has a Corona disease epidemic and has not been confirmed in the laboratory.
4- One of the workers or visitors to the medical attention places that was informed about the presence of confirmed cases of corona infection.
The second rule includes that the suspect is a hospitalized patient with severe acute respiratory illness suffering from a high temperature above 38 degrees with one of the symptoms of acute respiratory illness such as cough and shortness of breath, and the cause of the disease.
Regarding the third rule, the suspect is anyone who meets the following clinical characteristics:
1- Fever, acute respiratory symptoms, or both.
2- Regular or transverse chest radiograph of the chest, which has diagnostic properties for crown infection.
3- A normal or low white blood cell count with low lymphocytes.
If any of the above conditions apply, a PCR analysis of the condition is performed immediately.
As for the confirmed case, it is a suspicious case that has been confirmed in the laboratory as a result of the emerging corona virus.
