Former Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva criticized former Guinars coach Unai Emery because he was the reason for Egypt’s Mohamed Al-Nene’s departure from the artillery ranks.

Al-Nini moved into the ranks of Turkish Besiktas earlier this season on loan, following a recommendation from former Guinars coach Unai Emery.

During comments to France Football magazine, Gilberto said: “The Arsenal team is excessively the only player who looked like Patrick Vieira (the former guerrilla legend).”

He added: “In recent years, the situation was complicated at Arsenal, they had similar players in capabilities and capabilities in midfield, but they did not possess my talent or the talent of Patrick Vieira.”

He continued: “Mohamed Al-Nini is the only person who seemed to have different abilities, but he was not playing. Arsenal did not have that type of player with the ability to cover the center of the defensive midfield.”

“Arsenal are playing offensively, and it is not easy to find someone who can perfectly combine the ability to play and cover,” he continued.

Vieira previously played for Arsenal from August 1996 to July 2005, while Silva played jerseys between July 2002 and July 2008.
