The General Union of Physicians said Captain General, Dr. Hussein Khairy, was informed that there was no meeting to discuss the proposal to turn pharmacists into human doctors after receiving equivalent studies, which was scheduled for today, Wednesday.

The Medical Association announced yesterday, rejecting a proposal about the possibility of turning pharmacists into human doctors after receiving studies equivalent to the certificate.

The union said in an official statement that this proposal hurts the health of the Egyptian citizen and Egypt’s international medical reputation.

She added: “It is necessarily known that each category of medical team has a very important role that it really plays, and exercises it in accordance with scientific and professional principles and in accordance with the type of theoretical and practical study that I have studied for many years. , and no group can replace the other category, and it is not allowed to say that Any complementary study can be equivalent to a different scientific and practical degree “.

She continued: “This matter will harm Egypt’s international medical reputation, as there is no precedent for that in the history of the modern medical profession. Therefore, whoever wishes to practice the medical profession and be responsible for the lives of the Egyptians, must join the first year of the College of Human Medicine, and after graduation AND their training will be granted a license to practice the medical profession. “
