The activities of the fourth session of the El Gouna Film Festival started tonight, Friday, October 23, amid the precautionary measures necessary to prevent the emerging coronavirus (Covid 19), with the participation of several stars from different parts of the world.

Several art stars were eager to attend the opening ceremony, including: Menna Shalaby, Tara Emad, Khaled Al-Sawy, Yousra, Bushra, Karim Qasim, Engy Al-Muqaddam, Yasmine Sabry, who caught the eye, Sherine Reda , Rania Youssef, who appeared with a daring look, Khaled Al-Nabawi Asser Yassin and his wife, Jamal Suleiman, Jumana Murad and her husband, Muhammad Farraj and his fiancee Basant Shawqi, Ghada Adel, who attracted the audience to their appearance, Aiten Amer and her husband, Ashraf Zaki and Rogina, Islam Ibrahim, Amina Khalil, who wore a daring dress, Prince Jumanad and his wife, Jumanad Murad and his husband, Hassan Abu Al-Rous and his wife, Ahmed Daoud and his wife , actress Ola Rushdie, Munther Rehana and his wife, Ahmed Al-Sakka and his wife Maha Al-Saghir, and others.

The opening ceremony was held for the first time since the festival’s launch in 2017, at the El Gouna Convention and Culture Center, while the number of seats was reduced by placing a seat that separates every two guests, and the ceremony It was hosted by Hilda Khalifa.

The festival activities of film screenings, seminars and discussion sessions begin on the morning of Saturday, October 24. This year’s programming includes 16 films in the feature film competition, 10 films in the feature film competition, 18 films in the short film competition and two films in special shows, in addition to 17 One film in the official selection section, outside of competition.

The festival is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Ministry of Health and Population, the Ministry of Culture and the National Film Center.
