Dates to extend the mid-year holidays in schools and return to study

The government had decided to extend the mid-year vacations in schools and universities for a period of one week, provided that the study was resumed in the second semester and that the postponed examinations are taken from the first semester, according to the schedules announced, and in accordance with the regulations governing study in the Ministries of Education and Higher Education.

7 Important information about the destination of the first semester exams for the schools after the extension of the mid-year break:

Al-Masry Al-Youm reveals important information related to the first semester exams, following the decision of the Coronavirus Crisis Management Committee on Saturday night, to extend the mid-year vacation for a new week, which will end on Saturday February 27th. It is as follows:

1- The date of the first exam will be February 28 of this month.

2- The exam schedules in each educational address will be finalized and announced during this week.

3- The exams for grades from fourth grade to the preparatory certificate will be on paper within the committees and not electronic.

4- The only exception is that the general exam for students in the first and second grade of secondary school is carried out electronically through tablets.

5- The exam times for the first and second grade of general secondary school will be announced by the Ministry of Education and not by the education directorates.

6- No class will be excluded from the exams, except from the first primary to the third primary.

7- Most of the education directorates will have their exams in two shifts, morning and afternoon, to shorten the exam days.

Government Spokesperson: Al-Sisi has the idea to expand the study … and there is no intention to cancel the study:

The spokesman for the Council of Ministers confirmed, during a telephone conversation with the program “On My Responsibility”, broadcast by the channel Sada Al-Balad, that the holder of the idea of ​​giving permission to students and giving them the opportunity to study is the President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.

Saad pointed out that he is not proposing to cancel the school year in the first place, and making research a mechanism for evaluating students is a completely excluded way. He explained that the Minister of Education will announce its cancellation tomorrow Sunday.

And he continued, that the matter was studied from all sides and the negative aspects of the existing situation in not going to school for students were studied, highlighting that details of the school meal had been discussed, pointing out that there was a plan to face the problem. increase in emerging corona virus infections after resuming the study.

He concluded that there were no objections to resuming the study, since the subject was studied in all its dimensions with the Covid-19 virus control committee.
