The African Football Confederation (CAF) confirmed that next Friday will be the announcement of the date and venue of the African Super Cup matches in the 2020 and 2021 editions.
And as CAF announced on its official website, next Friday Konstant Umaray, acting president of the African Union, will hold a press conference to announce the date.
CAF published a statement announcing the agenda for the Executive Office meeting for him, which will be held in a hotel in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, tomorrow, Thursday, to make a series of decisions.
Umaru will hold his conference on Friday to reveal the decisions that will be made on Thursday at the Executive Office meeting at the same hotel, which will be broadcast on social media.
Al-Ahly, as champion of the African Champions League, will face Confederation champion Moroccan club RS Berkane in the coming days to determine the champion of the African Super Cup.
At its meeting, the CAF executive office is scheduled to discuss the latest developments in preparation for the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire and the 2020 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The CAF will also discuss the regulations of the African Women’s Champions League, and the date and place of the African Super Cup in the next two editions.
CAF will determine at the meeting the exact date to apply to host a series of future tournaments, as well as adopt the regulations for club tournaments in future editions.
