On Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 543 coronavirus recuperators have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical attention and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those who 137,837 cases have been recovered from the virus to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman of the ministry, stated that 608 new cases were registered that tested positive for the virus laboratory analysis, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and exam. that the ministry carries out in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 55 new cases.
Mujahid said that, according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
Mujahid claimed that the total number that was recorded in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Sunday is 178,151 cases, including 137,837 cases that have been cured and 10,353 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all the provinces of the Republic, follows the situation of the “emerging corona” virus first-hand and takes all necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the ministry has also assigned a series of media to receive inquiries from citizens on the emerging coronavirus and infectious diseases, including the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the application “Egypt Health “available on phones.
