The Ministry of Health and Population announced, this Wednesday, that 269 recoveries of the Corona virus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical attention and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those that have recovered from the virus to 105,719 cases to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 544 new cases were registered that were positive in laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and an examination that the ministry carries out according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 24 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Wednesday is 123,153 cases, including 105,719 cases that have been cured and 6,990 deaths.
