The Ministry of Health and Population announced, this Wednesday, that 398 people in recovery from the Coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, which the total of those who recover from the virus to 130,912 cases to date.
Dr Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 512 new cases were recorded that tested positive for virus laboratory tests, as part of the necessary surveillance, investigation and Examination procedures performed by the ministry in accordance with World Health Organization guidelines, which point to the death of 53 new cases
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
Mujahid claimed that the total number that was recorded in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Wednesday is 167,525 cases, including 130,912 cases that have been cured and 9,460 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all the provinces of the Republic, follows first-hand the situation of the “emerging corona” virus and takes all necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the Ministry has also assigned a number of media outlets to receive inquiries from citizens on emerging coronavirus and infectious diseases, including hotline “105”, “15335” and WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the application “Egypt Health “available on phones.
