The Ministry of Health and Population announced, this Monday, that 312 coronavirus recoveries have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those who 119,212 cases have been recovered from the virus to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, said that 961 new cases were registered that were positive in laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination carried out by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 52 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
Mujahid claimed that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Monday is 150,753 cases, including 119,212 cured cases and 8,249 deaths.
