Dr. Iman Shaker, undersecretary of the Prediction and Remote Sensing Center of the General Meteorological Authority, revealed details of the weather for the next 3 days, explaining that the weather conditions are witnessing a state of instability from tomorrow Wednesday until next Friday.
Shaker told Masrawy today that tomorrow, Wednesday, there will be strong storms and sometimes thunderstorms on the northern shores (Alexandria, Matrouh, Salloum, Rashid, Damietta, Port Said, Arish and Rafah), as long as the rains are moderate in Cairo on (Wednesday and Thursday), and will be absent on Friday.
He explained that the rains will be moderate to heavy and sometimes thunderstorms in some areas of Lower Egypt (Kafr El Sheikh, Beheira, Dakahlia, Gharbia, Sharkia and Menoufia), as long as they are light to moderate in northern Upper Egypt (Fayoum , Beni Suef and Minya).
He added that the weather next Thursday will witness strong and sometimes thunderstorms on the northern coasts (Alexandria, Matrouh, Sallum, Rashid, Damietta, Port Said, Arish and Rafah), provided that the rains are moderate to strong and sometimes thunderstorms in some areas of Lower Egypt (Kafr El Sheikh, Beheira, Dakahlia, West, East and Menoufia). .
He continued: While the weather on Friday is witnessing, moderate to heavy rains in some areas of the northern coasts (Alexandria, Matrouh, Salloum, Rashid, Damietta, Port Said, Arish and Rafah), and moderate rains in some areas of the Lower Egypt (Kafr El-Sheikh, Al-Buhaira, Dakahlia, Al-Gharbiya and Men Al-Sharqia).
Shaker indicated that the weather is also witnessing during this mentioned period, a decrease in temperatures and wind activity on the northern coasts and Lower Egypt, which increases the feeling of cold.
Average temperatures in Greater Cairo range between 13-20 degrees, Lower Egypt between 13-20 degrees, the northern coasts between 15-19, southern Sinai between 17-25, northern Upper Egypt between 12-21 and South Sinai between 15-24.
Shaker gave 5 urgent tips to citizens, saying: The need to follow the weather forecasts to know the temperatures and places of rain, avoid standing under tall trees and old buildings, wear winter clothes, drive calmly during the rain and stay away lighting poles and electricity kiosks to avoid electrical lightning.
