Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly chaired the weekly cabinet meeting today, Wednesday, to discuss a number of important files and follow up on national projects.
The decisions approved during the meeting were the following:
1- The Council of Ministers approved the procedures and steps that have been taken for the beginning of the implementation of the initiative “Your work in your village”, which aims to provide sustainable job opportunities to the citizens of the villages, with a focus on women, especially women providers, maximizing the value of local products, reducing waste and creating a new generation of pioneers. Business, in addition to the technical and professional development of young people in rural communities, and increasing family income, through the establishment of industrial complexes in Egyptian villages. Each complex contains medium projects or a combination of medium, small and micro enterprises.
2 – The Council of Ministers approved the incorporation of a new article to the Penal Code, establishing that “any person who is photographed, recorded or broadcast will be punished with a custodial sentence of not less than one year and a fine of not less than one hundred thousand pounds and not more than two hundred thousand pounds, or one of these two penalties. Or publish or display words or images of the proceedings of a session destined to hear a criminal case while it is developed by any means, without the permission of its owner, and with prior approval of the Public Ministry, the accused, the civil plaintiff or the representatives of any of them, and resolution of confiscation of devices or other devices that could have been used in the crime, or what resulted from it, or erased, or executed, as the case may be. “
3- The Council approved the draft decision of the President of the Republic regarding the agreement between the government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the government of the Republic of Italy, on the program of “technical assistance for the implementation of the city of Rubiki for leather “.
4- The Council approved a draft decision of the President of the Republic on exchanges between the government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation in relation to the granting by the agency of a subsidy to the Egyptian government of 200 thousand euros to finance the project “Support the creation of a safe work environment that achieves equality for women in the tourism sector in the Arab Republic of Egypt”.
5- The Council approved the draft decision of the President of the Republic on the allocation of a plot of land of approximately 32.26 acres of private state property in the district of Dar Al-Salam in the governorate of Sohag, for the benefit of the National Drinking Water and Sanitation Authority, to be used in the establishment of a wastewater treatment plant.
6- The Council of Ministers approved a draft decision of the President of the Republic on the allocation of a plot of land with an area of approximately 374.49 acres of privately owned state lands in the district of Abu Simbel in the governorate of Aswan , for the benefit of the National Institute of Astronomical and Geophysical Research, to be used as extensions of the magnetic observatory in the region, through the transfer of the lands assigned to the Public. Tourist.
7- The Council of Ministers approved the draft decision of the President regarding the allocation of some areas of private state property for the benefit of the Governorate of the Red Sea, which are 1,217.83 feddans in Ras Gharib, 872.54 acres in Safaga and 488.8 feddans in Qusair. For use in the establishment of tree forest projects, transferred from the lands assigned to the National Drinking Water and Sanitation Authority.
8- The Cabinet approved the adoption of the principles and determinants for the participation of real estate developers from the private sector in the implementation of housing units within the social housing program, provided that the rules for the allocation of these housing units to be implemented through the participation of real estate developers are the same as the rules for the allocation of housing units owned by the Housing Fund. Support for social and real estate financing (in terms of income, age, non-prior benefit, etc.), provided that price limits and allocation rules are periodically reviewed in light of income levels and inflation rates.
9- The Cabinet approved the adoption of the decisions and recommendations issued by the meeting of the Ministerial Engineering Committee held on December 10, 2020, in relation to the direct assignment of companies, or the increase in assignment orders, to 29 projects for the ministries of housing, transport, higher education and scientific research and the government of Assiut. In order to complete the works related to these projects, benefit from the investments that were made.
10- The Council of Ministers approved the approval of the settlements that were carried out with the knowledge of the committee of experts formed by Prime Minister Decision No. 2873 of 2015, held on November 30, 2020, and which contains the minutes of 44 settlements, with a value of around 25 million pounds.
