On Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 321 coronavirus recuperators have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical attention and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those who 132,375 cases have been recovered from the virus to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, adviser to the Ministry of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 534 new cases were registered that were positive in laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance, investigation and procedures of examination that the ministry conducts according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 47 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
Mujahid claimed that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Sunday is 169,640 cases, including 132,375 cured cases and 9,651 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all the provinces of the Republic, follows first-hand the situation of the “emerging corona” virus and takes all necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the Ministry has also assigned a series of media to receive inquiries from citizens on the emerging coronavirus and infectious diseases, including the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the application “Egypt Health “available on phones.
