The Ministry of Health and Population announced, this Tuesday, that 564 people in recovery from the Coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical attention and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, which the total of those who recover from the virus to 154,194 cases to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Undersecretary of Health and Population for Information and Awareness, and official spokesman for the ministry, said that 693 new cases were registered that were positive for laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of surveillance and investigation procedures necessary. and tests carried out by the ministry according to WHO guidelines, which point to the death of 42 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Tuesday is 201432, including 154,194 cured cases and 11,956 deaths.
