The tripartite committee in charge of the supervision of the Egyptian Football Association, headed by Ahmed Megahed, decided to continue working with video assistive technology (VAR) and call for the creation of a club association and a waiting list.
The tripartite committee met today, Wednesday, with the Egyptian Premier League clubs to discuss various matters, including the continuation of the video assistant referee technology and the call for the establishment of the Club Association.
During the meeting the following was agreed:
– Continue with the use of video-assisted trial technology with the termination of any procedural, legal or financial matter related to the relationship between the Federation and the company implementing through the competent authorities to guarantee the integrity of all procedures .
Regarding the constitution of the Association of Professional Clubs, Ahmed Mujahid presented the vision of the union inviting the clubs to present their candidates and meet during the first week of January to form the executive office of the association in accordance with the provisions of the regulation approved by the last general assembly, for the association to begin its work by forming a competition committee and the union by opening an account An own bank, adding that if the clubs decide to postpone training at a later time, it is a decision for them and not a withdrawal from the Union.
– It was agreed to respect the precautionary measures in these difficult times, even if the matter led to an agreement on the modification of some terms of the competition regulations, such as canceling the handshake after the match and re-establishing a new mechanism for press conferences after the game, in order to preserve everyone’s safety.
– An agreement that allows clubs to create a waiting list of players made up of three players, to help them in the exceptional circumstances that the game is going through.
