Emirates Air Cargo Company has intensified its operations to support the continuity of the company’s business in the Arab Republic of Egypt, as it supports trade between Egypt and the United Arab Emirates and several countries in the world, by adding 3 cargo flights from Egypt .

Emirates Air Freight currently operates 3 cargo flights per week from Cairo International Airport, and transports several Egyptian exports in cargo rooms on Boeing 777-300 ER wide-body passenger planes.

“We always place our customers at the top of our priority list, and we are committed to doing everything we can to support our customers, businesses, suppliers and the Egyptian economy at large,” said Jawad Ahmed, air cargo manager for Emirates in Egypt. Its products to various world markets ».

Between mid-January and mid-March, Emirates Air Cargo transported around 2,000 tons of perishable goods from Cairo to Dubai.

Most of the shipments that Emirates transports from Egypt during the current agricultural season include fruits and vegetables, plus sweet potatoes, strawberries, guava and assorted vegetables.

Emirates Air Cargo merged its operations, effective April 1, 2020, and temporarily transferred it to Dubai International Airport.

The measure was carried out to ensure the smooth operation of cargo and passenger aircraft.

Despite restrictions imposed on commercial flights, Emirates Air Cargo is working to ensure that basic products, such as food and medical supplies, are transported to countries in greatest need, and has also contributed since last March to fighting the epidemic of Covid-19 by transporting necessary medical supplies around the world.
