Since the beginning of May (10 days), the number of cases registered by the Ministry of Health reached 2,939 injuries, which is the highest figure recorded compared to the previous months at 34.6%, while 5,537 cases since the beginning of the crisis on February 14 (77 days) they registered 65.4%.
The daily injury rate made 3 clear leaps in the past 10 days, the first on May 1, when it increased to 358 injuries, an increase of 87 cases from the previous day before collapsing in the next two days, and the second on May 4, when he returned to climb, achieving 348 injuries, an increase of 76 cases from the previous day. The third jump was today, recording the highest daily jump, which is 102 cases from the previous day.

A source at the Ministry of Health said the recent increase in the number of corona cases is due to several things, including the expansion of conducting “PCR” analysis and rapid examination over the past two weeks, as well as an increase in the number of contacts with infected cases, who are committed to domestic isolation and are regularly followed by teams from the Ministry of Health. Among them are most of the new infections, as well as the incorrect behavior of some citizens and their failure to comply with the necessary precautions.
Yesterday, Dr. Muhammad Awad Tajuddin, Presidential Adviser on Health and Prevention, announced, in televised comments, that 100,000 PCR tests had been performed for those suspected of having Corona.

He noted that despite the increase in the number of wounded, we are still in the second scenario of Corona, since the ministry transfers all the wounded to isolation hospitals and quarantine places at the Republic level, and can also identify those who have contact with them and follow them medically during the period of isolation.
The Ministry of Health asked citizens to change some behaviors during the last two weeks of Ramadan, and before Eid al-Fitr, and advised against wasteful purchases, reduced meetings, and when necessary, all precautions should be taken , wear masks, wash your hands constantly, or rub with alcohol, to reduce the chances of infection with the virus.
Mortality rate
On the other hand, the total death rate relative to total injuries continued to decline gradually, and approached global rates falling to 5.9% today, after the index reached 7.5% a few days ago.
The average global death rate recorded at the World Health Organization is 5.3%, according to Dr. Amjad Al-Khouli, a consultant epidemiologist at the organization.
The decrease in the overall mortality rate is due to the large increase in the number of daily infections and the stability of daily deaths at their rates.
Today, Egypt registered 21 new deaths, with a total of 503 cases, while the total number of confirmed cases reached 8476 cases.
The recovery rate stabilized at its levels, at 22.9%, since 58 infected patients were discharged from isolation hospitals and quarantine places, bringing the total of those who recovered to 1945 cases, while the number of cases whose laboratory analysis results changed from positive to negative for Corona virus (Covid-19) at 2416 Condition.
And 6028 wounded still suffer from a crown in isolation hospitals, and most of them have mild symptoms and were transferred directly to the quarantine headquarters in youth centers and university cities, according to the strategy of the new ministry that applied it with the number of injuries reaching 5,000 cases.
